The competition program of Biathlon World Cup Final in Khanty-Mansiysk will start on March’17 with women 7.5 km sprint. The race starts at 6:15 p.m. (local time).
80 biathletes will participate in it. Teja Gregorin will be the first to start the race. Ekaterina Yurlova of Russia has bib number 4. Six other athletes from host country will compete in sprint. Tatiana Akimova starts 18th, right in the middle of a very strong company of athletes. Kaisa Makarainen of Finland, who was the winner of sprint here a year ago will start right ahead of her. After Akimova the main hero of World Championships in Oslo Marie Dorin Habert of France will join the race.
Darya Virolaynen from Ugra has bib 30. One more Russian athlete – Anastasia Zagoruiko – will be 39th to start the race right after Gabriela Soukalova. Czech biathlete has all the chances to win small Crystal Globe in this discipline. To do this she needs to finish among top-34 athletes.
Svetlana Sleptsova who is back in Russian main team will be 52nd to start the race. Ekaterina Shumilova starts 54th. The last among Russians will be Anna Scherbinina with bib #71.
The live broadcast of women sprint will be shown on TV channels “Ugra”, “Match-TV” and “Eurosport-1”.
