Then they went to the ethnographic open-air museum “Torum-Maa”. Journalists were told about the history, traditions and culture of khanti and mansi. The most interesting part of the excursion was dedicated to methods of hunting that are still used by these aboriginal people of the North.

— This is my 7th or 8th visit to Khanty-Mansiysk. But still I managed to learn new things today. I was mostly interested in the history of aboriginal people, – said the famous biathlon expert Alexander Kruglov, representing

The tour ended on the alpine-skiing complex “Khvoyny urman”. Journalists had a welcome lunch and went snow tubing. Then via cable-way they went directly Alexander Filipenko Winter Sports Center, where today’s men sprint will start at 6:15 (local time).

— We will be supporting our athletes and believe in them. We all want this season to end on a positive note. After it biathlon will leave Khanty-Mansiysk for two years. The city got used for it during these years. We will be looking forward to the return of these prestigious competitions back to Ugra, — said Dmitry Yaroshenko.
